The Region’s Leading Rail Events Converge

RAIL Asia and the RISE Symposium unite to create a fully integrated
premier event for Asia’s rail and metro industries.

The collective strengths of RAIL Asia and the RISE Symposium has forged a pan-Asian platform for the rail industry in the heart
of the region’s rail development. The accelerating cooperation of government, operators, suppliers and industry stakeholders
throughout Southeast Asia has resulted in the various industry platforms in Thailand to come together and forge a strong and
important platform in Bangkok that will provide a powerful partnership to establish a fully representative conference
programme alongside a world-class exhibition.

The exhibition and conference will be a co-location of RAIL Asia Expo organized by Asian Exhibition Services (AES) Ltd and the RISE
Symposium organized by the National Science & Technology Development Agency. It will held from 28-29 March 2018
at the Airport Rail Link’s Makkasan Expo Halls in Bangkok, hosted by the State Railway Engineering Association (TREA).

Mr. Ditsapon Padungkul, President of the Thailand Railway Engineering Association (pictured right), described the 2018
event as “a very important development for the rail industry to bring together the full representation of government,
operators and suppliers to not only see and meet the world-class suppliers of technology, maintenance and
infrastructure services and products, but also to learn from the high-level conference programme and to meet
the regional partners in Asia and network with the full spectrum of the industry”.
“The tremendous cooperative and collective vision of the rail and metro industry, government and the supporting
organisations of the RISE Symposium and the supporting organisations and committee of RAIL Asia has created
a unique and united platform for rail business, knowledge and networking to flourish. We congratulate and
fully support this industry led initiative and look forward to what is now the region’s most important rail
event next year” highlighted Mr. David Aitken, Managing Director of Asia Exhibition Services (AES) Ltd. (pictured left).
Transport Infrastructure Asia, opened by Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Ormsin Shivapruck (pictured 3rd left),
will also be incorporated into the co-located RAIL Asia & RISE Symposium profile of 2018.
